**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Monitor and assist with the implementation of project Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) plans, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices.
- Identify and assist in conducting project-specific HSE training.
- Provide project team with project-specific HSE information and trends and assist in creating action plans.
- Prepare and submit the annual COR audit for Manitoba.
- Assist with development and implementation of hazard identification tools.
- Conduct project HSE inspections and verify corrective actions that have been implemented - conducting site inspections in remote areas.
- Create and implement project-specific emergency response plans.
- Coordinate and monitor project security requirements.
- Gathers, reviews and provides input on documentation and monitors contractor safety compliance.
- Provide information to project staff on applicable HSE legislation requirements.
- Conduct regular and scheduled visits to project sites.
- Perform various Operational Health and Safety (OHS) duties to support the project and the team.
- Notify appropriate stakeholders of any incident and support the investigation.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with project teams, clients, and subtrades.
- Create and deliver presentations on various safety awareness and topics.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum three years' experience in a related industry with direct experience in HSE.
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification, or other OHS certifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
- Knowledge of applicable safety legislation, and/or willingness to learn applicable OHS, environmental legislation and HSE processes.
- Capability to be discrete with sensitive and/or confidential information.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable with identifying and resolving conflicts.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in the construction industry and understanding the terminology and processes an asset.
- Experience with Site Docs an asset.
- Must have driver's license

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
