**Position**: Safety Specialist - Contractor
**Type**: Contractor Position, On-going with no end date
**Hours**: 40 - 80 hours per month
**Duration**: Roughly 2 weeks of site visits per month
**Location**: Various construction sites (residential and commercial)

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct site inspections across various construction sites.
- Coach and educate client staff and subcontractors on safety practices.
- Complete detailed inspection reports using various safety software. Include detailed interactions, observations, and coaching moments (both positive and negative).
- Assist client supervision team in performing COR-required activities and documentation (e.g., toolbox talks, vehicle inspections).
- Conduct audit interviews and site observations.

Qualifications:

- Must have NCSO certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of MB Workplace Safety and Health Act and regulations.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, equipment, and safety requirements.
- Ability to adapt to various client safety management systems.
- Excellent time management skills for coordinating and conducting site visits.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with tradespeople and teams and integrating into the team environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling site visits to accommodate client needs.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Pay: $40.00-$65.00 per hour
