We prioritize safety, quality, and compliance on every project and are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator/Safety Officer to support our team in maintaining the highest safety standards.

As Safety Coordinator/Safety Officer, you will be responsible for implementing and enforcing safety policies specific to demolition operations. You will upkeep and maintain our safety program, You will conduct site inspections, coordinate safety training, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with Manitoba’s Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform regular safety inspections of demolition sites within Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in accordance with Manitoba Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
- Deliver safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments to demolition crews.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses; compile reports and recommend preventative measures.
- Maintain comprehensive safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Lead safety meetings and promote a culture of safety awareness among staff.
- Assist with emergency response procedures and safety drills.
- Stay informed on updates to safety legislation and industry best practices relevant to demolition work in Manitoba.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in safety management within construction, demolition, or heavy industry sectors.
- Knowledge of Manitoba Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- Valid Manitoba Construction Safety Training System (MB CSST) or equivalent safety certifications. (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, Construction Safety Training System)
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to assess hazards, conduct risk analyses, and recommend appropriate safety measures.
- Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other safety credentials are an asset.

Pay: $40,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
