Elysian Ventures is a dedicated agency providing person-centered support for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. Our specialized programs offer 24/7 wraparound care for adults with high behavioral needs, both in their homes and the community.

We are looking for compassionate and resilient individuals to join our Complex Needs Support team. Successful applicants will receive paid specialized training, including CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention), ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), and tailored client-specific instruction to help you thrive in your role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Encourage and support individuals in achieving their personal goals
- Assist with daily living activities (e.g., independent skills, hobbies, community engagement)
- Provide behavioral and mental health support as needed
- Help manage health-related needs (e.g., attending appointments, administering medications, emotional support)
- Support daily routines including housekeeping tasks like meal prep, cleaning, and laundry
- Foster and maintain positive social connections
- Advocate for individual rights, choices, and empowerment

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Disability Studies, Social Work, Psychology, etc.)
- 1-2 years of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities and mental health needs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm and use effective crisis intervention strategies in high-pressure situations
- Assets include: valid First Aid/CPR, CPI, and Medication Administration certification
- Must provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check before starting employment
- Valid Driver’s License, clean Driver’s Abstract, and $2 million liability vehicle insurance required
- **Mandatory Requirements**:_
- **A Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector) that is dated within the last 6 months**_
- **A Child Intervention Check that is dated within the last 6 months**_
- **Proof of eligibility to work in Canada**_
- **Class 5 Alberta Government Issued Driver’s License for 3 or more years in Canada**_
- **A Driver's Abstract that is dated within the last 6 months**_
- **Copy of education listed in resume.**_
- **Please note that given the nature of our work, proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.**_
