Elysian Ventures is a care agency committed to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. We provide specialized, person-centered support for adults with complex needs and high behaviors through our 24/7 wraparound care model. Services are delivered both at home and in community settings.

We are currently looking for team members to cover a range of shifts, including daytime, overnight, and weekends.

**What We Offer**:
Those hired for this program will receive thorough, paid training designed to help you build, enhance, and maintain the skills needed to provide top-quality support. Training may include:

- Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI)
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
- Additional individualized, client-specific instruction

**Key Responsibilities**:
As a Complex Needs Support Worker, your role will include:

- Helping individuals work toward personal goals and life aspirations
- Supporting daily life skills and recreational activities
- Providing behavioral and mental health supports
- Assisting with health-related tasks (medication, attending appointments, emotional support)
- Assisting with home tasks such as meal prep, cleaning, and laundry
- Encouraging and maintaining meaningful social relationships
- Promoting individual rights, informed choice, and self-advocacy

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Completion of a related diploma or degree (e.g., Disability Studies, Social Work, Psychology) and 1-2 years of experience with adults who have developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Confidence and calm in high-stress or crisis situations, with solid knowledge of dual diagnosis support
- Current First Aid and CPR, CPI, and Medication Administration training are strong assets
- Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search required
- Valid Driver’s License, clean Driver’s Abstract, and $2M vehicle liability insurance required

**Shift Details**:

- Day and evening shifts follow a 4-days-on, 4-days-off rotation (12-hour shifts)
- Overnight shifts may be awake (12 hours) or sleep (8 hours of 12) depending on individual needs
- Some positions require 48-hour live-in shifts
- **Mandatory Requirements**:_
- **A Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector) that is dated within the last 6 months**_
- **Proof of eligibility to work in Canada**_
- **Class 5 Alberta Government Issued Driver’s License**_
- **A Driver's Abstract that is dated within the last 6 months**_
- **Copy of education listed in resume.**_
- **Please note that given the nature of our work, proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.**_
