**Position Overview** We are looking for a **Team Leader** to oversee and support programs designed for adults with developmental disabilities. This role involves direct client support, staff supervision, and ensuring high-quality services. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on client needs and agency requirements.

Supervision & Reporting The Team Leader will manage Support Staff and report directly to the Community Residential Manager, who in turn reports to the Operations Manager.

**Key Responsibilities** The Team Leader must adhere to all company policies as outlined in Elysian Ventures’ Policy and Procedures Manual and actively promote workplace health and safety. Responsibilities include:

- Ensuring compliance with **Creating Excellence Together (CET) standards** for staff and program operations
- Providing high-quality services to clients
- Setting and working towards skill development and competency goals
- Effectively managing and responding to behavioral challenges
- Working collaboratively within a team setting
- Assigning tasks, mentoring, and coaching support staff
- Providing continuous performance feedback and conducting evaluations
- Managing scheduling, approving shifts, handling absences, and filling open shifts with the manager’s approval
- Establishing in-house safety procedures, occupational health & safety measures, and client care protocols
- Handling basic bookkeeping tasks
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Performing light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Diploma or Degree in Community Rehabilitation, Disability Services, or a related field
- Minimum 6 years of direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience in a leadership role
- Understanding of First Nations healing traditions and beliefs
- Awareness of Indigenous cultures, identities, and communities
- Knowledge of LGBTQ2S+ diversity and inclusion
- Familiarity with trauma and recovery processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High-level problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in high-stress or emergency situations
- Flexible availability
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with team members
- Valid driver’s license, Driver’s Abstract, and $2 million vehicle insurance coverage
- Current Emergency First Aid & CPR certification
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector screening

**A Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector) that is dated within the last 6 months**

**Proof of eligibility to work in Canada**

**Class 5 Alberta Government Issued Driver’s License**

**A Driver's Abstract that is dated within the last 6 months**

**Copy of education listed in resume.**

**Please note that given the nature of our work, proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.**

Pay: $22.75 per hour
