**Position Summary**

This role is for a Research Coordinator to support Screening for Cardiac Anomalies using Artificial Intelligence Detection (SCANAID), an Alberta Innovates research grant, over a three-year period.

This exciting study will develop and investigate the role of Artificial Intelligence algorithms in detecting fetal heart disease during obstetric ultrasounds, as well as a general acceptance of the incorporation of these technologies by patients and practitioners. The Research Coordinator will have the opportunity to develop skills in the management of Artificial Intelligence research, highly desirable in an expanding field.

The successful applicant will work closely with the research team in the Fetal Cardiology Service at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, as well as CIFAR AI Chair Jacob Jaremko and his laboratory at Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute, and study participants. There is likely to be potential for additional participation in other projects within the Division of Cardiology at the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

**Duties**
- Liaison with AHS and other grant stakeholders for maintenance and support of operational approvals, data transfer agreements, contracts and ethics renewals.
- Management of project operations, including liaison with site staff, approach and consent of participants, delivery of questionnaires.
- Study participant data entry
- Support of data curation, including anonymization and file management on local and cloud-based servers.
- Attendance at research lab operational meetings, and support of other activities as required.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with data management and word processing software (Microsoft Excel and Word).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Familiarity with REDCap.
- Experience with using Python code.
- Experience with extraction from / working with medical data in Electronic Medical Records.
