**Position Summary**

Located within the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport and Recreation, the Behavioural Epidemiology Lab (BEL) includes research staff, volunteers, as well as trainees at various levels who examine healthy development, measurement, determinants, and interventions related to physical activity, sedentary behaviour (including screen time), and sleep among children.

The Research Coordinator position is responsible for contributing to the research activities of main research projects and will work closely with the principal investigator and other members of the BEL who are involved with the projects.

**Duties**
- Develop and update study protocol documents, study materials, and Human Research Ethics Board submissions. (1%)
- Coordinate the recruitment and enrolment of study participants, including obtaining informed consent. (25%)
- Organize and lead data collection at health centres, participants’ homes and/or child care centres. This will also include working with trainees, volunteers, and research staff who are helping with data collection for the projects. (35%)
- Regularly follow up with participants. (15%)
- Manage and clean all data. (10%)
- Develop research databases for data entry and complete data entry. (4%)
- Coordinate and participate in research meetings and foster communications with the research team, other relevant stakeholders, and trainees. (1%)
- Complete expense claims and other study-related paperwork. (2%)
- Help prepare end-of-study reports and other knowledge translation materials. (5%)
- Assist graduate students with research activities, including recruitment, data collection, and end-of-grant knowledge-translation activities. (1%)
- Assist with other research projects occurring in the lab. (1%)

**Minimum Qualifications**
- A Master’s degree in a health-related field (e.g., kinesiology, physical education, public health, pediatrics, psychology).
- Strong project coordination, reporting, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently while achieving specific goals within specific timelines.
- Capable of effectively handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of typical office-related software, such as Microsoft Office Suite.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with related research project coordination/management.
- Strong knowledge base in movement behaviors.
- Experience working with children.
