**About Story Cafe** The Story Café is a fast-paced casual fine-dining restaurant in Richmond that is dedicated to providing high quality food with excellent service. We are looking for an experienced individual who has drive, motivation and a passion for cooking while being a team player. The Story Café treats every employee like a family member and wants to make sure they have good health and protection during their employment. Story Café provides group benefits to every employee. This covers life insurance, accidental insurance, dental, vision, medicines, massage, different therapies and more as well as covering their family to allow employees to work in a "worry free" work environment. Other than group benefits, each employee will receive tips, and be provided a staff meal, coffee, and drinks during their shift. The **RESTAURANT MANAGER **is responsible for helping the restaurant meet service, sales and profit objectives, along with supervising and directing daily work activities. Reporting to the General Manager, the **RESTAURANT MANAGER **assists with maintaining strong customer loyalty and ensuring that guests have a positive and memorable experience, each time they visit the restaurant. **SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**: - Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position and environment - Proficient in MS office - Must have passion for the hospitality industry - Excellent leadership and motivation skills - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to hold oneself and others accountable - Ability to prioritize, organize and follow through as necessary - A clear thinker with the capacity to work well under timelines - Solid communication skills, verbal, written and presentation - Strong work ethic and high degree of integrity **TO WORK FOR US**: You MUST have valid proof of Social Insurance Number and be legal to work in Canada with proof as a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Residence or Valid Work Permit. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year Additional pay: - Tips **Benefits**: - Dental care - Disability insurance - Discounted or free food - Extended health care - Store discount - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Evening shift **Experience**: - Restaurant management: 3 years (required) **Language**: - English (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Serving It Right (preferred)
