Accounts Payable Specialist, Tax

**Overview** The AP Specialist is responsible for processing payments focused on employee expenses, corporate cards and purchase card expenses in SAP Concur. The AP Specialist will monitor and review submissions to ensure the corporate policies are adhered to, and support users regarding the process and system. This individual will work with a team of talented individuals who share a passion for producing quality work in the best interest of both internal & external stakeholders. **Snapshot of Responsibilities**: - Monitor and review employee, corporate card and purchase card on a daily basis - Responsible to process payments via wire payment, online or cheques for all employee, corporate card and purchase card expenses on a weekly basis, in multiple currencies - Input supplier’s invoices verifying that merchandise received agrees with computerized records - Analyze and reconcile all corporate credit card reconciliation in SAP Concur against 3rd Party Statements - Input all other vendor invoices for services and non-inventory purchases daily - Supporting subsidiary non-PO non-inventory charges, recording them in the ERP system and process the payments - Professional and respectful approach with a strong sense of customer service, to support internal and external stakeholders - Monitor Accounts Payable listings monthly for issues and reconciliation of accounts payable balance sheet accounts - Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting company procedures, processes, and techniques - Complete processes timely and accurately, without compromising quality or required documentation - Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders, building positive and professional business partner relationships - Assist Manager/Supervisor with projects and process improvement initiatives, actively participating and contributing in them - Identify areas of weakness in the financial monitoring of the company and implement solutions to address these situations under the direction of the Supervisor/Manager. - Assists in month end closing, including maintaining Accounts Payable logs - Provide any documentation requested for internal or external audit purposes, as required. - Adhere to Corporate and Quality policies and procedures - Other duties as assigned **What you bring to the team**: - Post-secondary education in Accounting - 2+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable or other Finance/Accounting procedures - Organization and time management skills - Proficient in MS Office such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint Excel - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Teamwork attitude and interpersonal skills required - Detail orientation and being a self-starter - SAP Concur experience is an asset **What we have to offer**: - Smart commute options including complimentary shuttle from Kipling Station, and subsidized transit program. - Flexible working hours that complement core business hours. - One day off for volunteering, to give back to a charitable organization of your choice. - Purposeful work that drives career development, with opportunities to learn and grow by way of on-site training, workshops, and lunch and learn sessions. - Comprehensive total rewards package, including tuition reimbursement and lifestyle and health spending account. - Well-being initiatives, including onsite gym facility and fitness classes (yoga and boot camp). - Employee-friendly work environment, with opportunity to participate in employee-led clubs, organized sports teams, video games, foosball, ping pong, etc. **About Us** Baylis Medical and Boston Scientific recently announced the close of Boston Scientific’s acquisition of Baylis Medical Company Inc.
