**About the Opportunity**

The CNC Machinist is responsible for creating quality cabinetry on CNC machines according to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams. Responsibilities will include loading parts, labelling parts, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
The CNC Machinist will detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to ensure the quality of production, and report all machine malfunctions to their immediate supervisor.

You are a creative and innovative thinker, a highly motivated self-starter with the proven ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. You have excellent analytical and effective problem-solving skills and take the initiative to offer solutions to improve written and verbal communication. You can set priorities effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Conversational programming experience would be an asset
- Set up and run programs in a lean manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Minimum of 1-year experience operating CNC machines in a wood manufacturing environment.
- Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines.
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing for demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Must possess basic math skills to include but are not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry.
- Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Ability to use a tape measure and vernier callipers.
- Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
