**Overview**

As CNC Machinist, you will produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a **Okuma CNC Mills**; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. You will use appropriate tools and measuring equipment to make parts to engineering standards.

**Responsibilities**
- Plans machining process by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications.
- Program CNC lathes by utilizing G-code and MasterCAM.
- Daily set-ups and operating mills, verifies first-run parts and monitors dimensions, and operations over the job run.
- Suggests and implements creative solutions for fixtures, jigs, and tooling for efficient machining operations.
- Inspects finished parts with various measuring tools and completes inspection report.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Good housekeeping and work area cleanliness.
- Assume duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Proficient in programming, setting up, and operating Okuma CNC mills.
- Minimum 2 years' work experience with CNC machining on milling machines.
- Proficient in G code programming.
- Good knowledge of MasterCAM or Fusion 360 programming software.
- Good knowledge of various materials such as stainless steels, super alloys, and so on.
- Familiar with various of machining tools and machining methods.
- Able to setup quickly and efficiently.
- Able to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Journeyperson Machinist Certification.

**Competencies**
- High level of accuracy, detail and organization.
- Be a team player that works well with fellow machinists, engineering staff, trades and colleagues.

**Other Key Considerations**
- Warehouse/Manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Willingness to work overtime.

**Salary**: Wage starts at $35 and shall commensurate with skills and experience.
