**About the Saint-Louis Residence**
Saint-Louis Residence is a 198 bed Long-Term Care (LTC) home with convalescent care, peritoneal dialysis and respite programs situated in a quiet residential neighborhood on a picturesque setting on the edge of the Ottawa river. **What would my role be?**
Reporting to the Manager, Nutrition and Food Services, you will:
- Prepare, temper, re-thermalize, cook, garnish and serve food to patients, cafeteria, boutique and catering clients.
- Verify and store goods into the appropriate area and assists in the maintenance of proper stock levels to meet demands.
**How do I qualify?**
Required:
- A combination of the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience deemed equivalent in a relevant setting (healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality)
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a cook.
- Valid Food Handler certificate from a recognized institution
- Experience in operating, maintaining and cleaning various type of equipment (fryer, steamer, oven, grill, meat slicer, dishwasher etc.)
- Fluent in French and English
Preferred:
- Postsecondary education or training program as a Cook/Chef

- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Capacity to provide quality client-centered service.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Intermediate computer skills.
