CMLS Financial is currently expanding our Residential Business Development team We are looking for an experienced, motivated Business Development Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset who is excited to join our successful sales team in Toronto, Ontario.
The Regional Business Development Manager in Ontario will be responsible for originating residential mortgages through the mortgage broker channel. As a result of the successful launch of our Residential Division in 2013, you will be joining an existing team of high-performance Business Development Managers with full support from our experienced Risk team including underwriters and document specialists.
Reporting to the Head of Mortgage Broker Sales Eastern Canada, Business Development, you will be joining a hardworking and dynamic team of Regional Managers. The job will be challenging but rewarding. You’ll take ownership of your territory’s volume objectives and increase revenue, while also maintaining both deal quality and underwriting efficiency standards. Starting salary will be competitive, with a generous bonus structure, in addition to full benefits, 4 weeks paid vacation to start, employee development programs, and a fun/social office of 150+ staff located in downtown Toronto.
**About the Role**:
- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial mortgage referral relationships with selected mortgage brokers in your region.
- Provide unparalleled sales support, product and lending guidelines training to all of your business partners.
- Liaise with your colleagues in underwriting in resolving issues with business partners.
- Maintain and elevate the company’s reputation by representing us at key industry events.
- Key performance factors will be based on funded volumes, broker efficiencies and survey results.
**This role is for you if you have**:
- You are a master in sales, relationship management and development with a proven track record of success.
- Have comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage brokerage community in your region preferred (Ontario).
- Possess a strong background in residential mortgage credit.
- Have excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Have strong problem solving and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple demands under tight lines.
- Previous mortgage underwriting experience is considered an asset.
- Bachelor degree in business, finance, or marketing is considered an asset
- A Mortgage Broker license or Mortgage Agent license is required or must be obtained within 6 months of being hired.
