**Forklift Operator - Full-Time Role**
Located on the North Shore of Vancouver Harbour, Lions Gate Marine Centre offers boaters
secure dry-storage and service yard to accommodate projects of all sizes, from annual
maintenance such as engine repair, winterization and bottom painting, to installs and large
repair jobs.
We are in search of a full-time Forklift Operator who is responsible for:
**Customer Service**:

- Provide marina customers with a high level of customer service by carefully listening to and responding to their
- needs- Handle customer and co-worker interaction in a friendly and respectful manner

**Forklift Operation**:

- Operate the forklift with ease and comfort, never exceeding training or experience level- Operates radios and computers to communicate with other team members
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning functions to the forklift and other machinery as required
- Report performance problems or maintenance needs for machinery directly to the Yard Foreman

**Yard Operations**:

- Assist with marina maintenance- Block / stabilizing vessels
- Identify new and pre-existing damage to any customers boat/trailer
- Wash boats and prepare vessels for storage

**Safety**:

- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to marina policies, procedures and best practices- Maintain situational awareness of people or objects that could pose a safety risk to customers, colleagues or self
- Report any injury, damage or near miss incident to Manager immediately
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Must have a minimum of 1 -2 year’s forklift operation experience- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
- Proficiency in English and enjoy working outdoors
- Mechanically inclined
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Must be able to work on weekends and evenings
