**Position Purpose and** **Summary**
The Coordinator, Academic Services provides administrative support for GLOBAL’s academic programs with the purpose of bring consistency across programs and delivery locations.
**Key Areas of Accountability**
**1. **Course Planning and Scheduling**:
- Prepare course schedules for GLOBAL programs in collaboration with the Director, Faculty Services and Development
- Monitor projected enrolment numbers to ensure appropriate number of classes
- Liaise with team members and the Office of the Registrar regarding classroom scheduling and other course logistics
- Cross-reference course details in GLOBAL program schedules with university course registration system
- Participate in annual course schedule planning process
- Assist program teams with student learning plans as needed
**2.** **Instructional Support**:
- Maintain up to date program textbook lists for GLOBAL programs
- Prepare textbook orders in collaboration with program teams and Director, Faculty Services and Development
- Cross-reference textbook information on bookstore website to ensure accuracy. Liaise with bookstore staff as needed
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of shared file drives and Microsoft Teams sites, including course syllabus repository
- Assist in program orientation days as needed
- Provide Birkman Assessment administration, sending assessment links and individual reports to students as needed
- Liaise with Branches team regarding teaching supplies/equipment required by faculty
**3. **Faculty Support and Communication**
- Maintain database and supporting documents for approved faculty, available teaching times, and contact information; and ensure required information is maintained annually
- Confirm faculty availability for teaching in collaboration with Director, Faculty Services and Development
- Assist in the faculty contract preparation process by ensuring accuracy of information in collaboration with program teams
- Communicate course details and timelines for syllabus submission, final grade entry, etc. with faculty

- Advanced skill and working knowledge of Microsoft software (including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe, and other software programs (including TWU software) as required
- Superior and organizational skills with a keen focus on details
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of people
- Strong ability in office management processes and able to work independently to accomplish established goals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a sense of humour and cheerful attitude
- Calm and assured during busy and challenging times
- Action oriented with ability to take initiative to ensure results
- Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy

**Education**: Bachelor’s degree required.
**Experience**: 1-2 years of related administrative experience required. Customer service experience an asset.
