**Position Overview**
We are seeking a motivated **Business Development Manager** to join our dynamic sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated sales professional to take ownership of new business acquisition while managing the complete sales cycle from initial prospecting through client onboarding.
**Key Responsibilities**
**New Business Development**
- **Lead Generation & Prospecting**: Proactively identify and develop potential clients for Thirst First services through research, networking, and strategic outreach
- **Full Sales Cycle Management**: Own the entire process from initial contact through contract signing and client onboarding
- **Market Expansion**: Research and penetrate new market segments and geographic territories
- **Inquiry Management**: Follow up on and convert provided leads and inquiries into new business
**Client Relationship Management**
- **Relationship Building**: Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with prospects and new clients
- **Consultative Selling**: Understand client needs and present customized refreshment solutions
- **Client Support**: Provide ongoing support during the onboarding process and early client relationship stages
- **Problem Resolution**: Address client concerns and service issues to ensure satisfaction
**Sales Performance**
- **Revenue Generation**: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly new business targets
- **Pipeline Management**: Maintain accurate records of prospects, activities, and sales forecasts in CRM system
- **Competitive Analysis**: Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless client transitions
**Required Qualifications**
**Experience & Skills**:
- Minimum 3-5 years of outside B2B sales experience with proven track record of success
- Demonstrated experience in lead generation and self-prospecting
- Full-cycle sales experience from prospecting to closing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Excellent presentation and negotiation abilities
- Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
**Technical Requirements**:
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tracking software
- Google Workspace experience preferred
- Comfortable with online research tools and social selling platforms
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for client visits

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in the office supply industries or a related field
- Existing network of business contacts in the Lower Mainland
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or related field
