We are currently seeking a **Finance \ Payroll Clerk** to join our team. This role is crucial in managing our financial operations, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and supporting the smooth delivery of our programs.

**Position Summary**

The **Finance \ Payroll Clerk**will be responsible for handling payroll processing, financial record-keeping, budgeting, and reporting. They will ensure accurate financial tracking of donor funding, assist with audits, **and maintain compliance with financial policies and funding agreements.**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Payroll & Employee Compensation**
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with labor laws and organizational policies.
- Maintain payroll records, Roe’s including timesheets, benefits, and deductions.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
- Ensure payroll taxes and deductions are calculated and remitted correctly.

**Financial Management & Reporting**:

- Manage and track donor funding, ensuring proper allocation and reporting.
- Prepare financial reports for funders, management, and external auditors.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of organizational budgets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.

**Grants & Donor Funding Compliance**:

- Ensure proper financial tracking and reporting of donor contributions.
- Monitor spending to ensure compliance with budget allocations and funding agreements.

**General Accounting & Administration**:

- Process invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
- Support financial audits by preparing required documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all financial matters.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in finance, payroll, or accounting, preferably in a non-profit organization.
- Experience managing grant funding and donor contributions is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Pay works, QuickBooks) and accounting systems.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, and values is an asset.

**Salary** : $ 48,870 per annum

**Hours**: 8:30 to 4:30pm

**Schedule** : Monday to Friday
