**_a Payroll Clerk _**to join our awesome team in Winnipeg

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Clerk is responsible for departmental compliance and record maintenance of payroll information in accordance to regulations. This includes all payroll data entry, and general administrative duties associated with payroll.

**Shift**:
Monday to Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (can be somewhat flexible with start/end times)

**Duties and Responsibilities include**:

- Responsible for employee data management in the payroll system, including data entry
- Reviews and verifies Payroll data
- Responsible for new hires, changes, terminations and benefits administration
- Prepare and issue ROE's, prepare T4's
- Address inquiries regarding Payroll from other team members
- Assists with complaints, concerns and issues from external or internal sources
- Follow up on critical matters and in a timely manner
- Maintains consistent communication with Manger on critical information
- Maintains employee information by entering accurate information in record system
- Enter benefit information into the system
- Produces reports for management on stats and other key performance indicators
- Assists with internal reviews to ensure that compliance procedures are maintained
- Participates and supports all Safety initiatives
- Contributes to team initiatives
- All other clerical related duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Experience in office administration, payroll and benefits is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Strong attention to details and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills along with a focus to manage competing and challenging tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; specifically Excel
- Problem solving skills to analyze information and evaluate results and resolutions
- Able to work effectively independently and as a team player in a fast pace environment with mínimal supervision
