**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Process and reconcile payroll on a bi-weekly basis including benefits, cheque requisitions, and journal entries.
- Preparation and distribution of timely and accurate payroll reports.
- Focal for management and employees to address payroll-specific queries.
- Assist in documenting Payroll procedures and ensure documentation is well maintained.
- Data entry for all time and attendance and personnel transactions such as new hires. terminations, leaves of absence, benefits deductions, garnishments, etc.
- Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity.
- Partner with business leaders to understand specific reporting needs and develop reports in ADP.
- Maintain accurate records and entries in ADP.
- Focal for Human Resources related issues and/or projects as they relate to ADP.
- Other projects, as assigned by the Payroll Manager.

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A minimum of 4-7 years of experience with primary responsibility for payroll administration and processing.
- Diploma in Management, Commerce and/or Accounting/Finance.
- Experience working with ADP Workforce Now.
- Sound knowledge of payroll and general accounting practices and principles.
- Working knowledge of federal employment laws relating to payroll.
- Benefits Management experience with various carriers.
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong computer skills: advanced knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new programs/systems quickly.
- Detail oriented and ability to work to tight timelines.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with employees at various levels of the organization.
