**Salary**: $50,000 - $60,000(based on experience)
**Commission**: Negotiable
**Location**: 19 Waterman Avenue, East York.
**Experience Level**: 1-3 years in freight brokerage
**Position Overview**:
As a **Business Development Representative**, you will be responsible for developing new client relationships, managing new accounts, and providing top-tier service to ensure customer satisfaction. You will work closely with internal teams and carriers to ensure seamless transportation logistics and execute strategic business development initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** New Business Development**: Proactively identify and acquire new clients by leveraging industry knowledge, cold calling, and creative sales strategies.
- ** Account Management**: Manage and grow accounts by providing outstanding service and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- ** Market Research**: Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies and provide the best possible service offerings to clients.
- ** Negotiation & Pricing**: Negotiate rates and service terms with clients and carriers to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- ** Customer Support**: Address client concerns and inquiries promptly, ensuring high levels of customer retention and satisfaction.
- ** Reporting & Analytics**: Track performance metrics, analyze business trends, and report regularly to leadership on sales activities and account growth.
**Qualifications**:
- ** Experience**: 1-3 years of experience in freight brokerage or logistics sales, with a proven track record of success in business development and account management.
- ** Industry Knowledge**: Familiarity with the transportation and logistics industry, including freight rates, shipping solutions, and market trends.
- ** Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
- ** Self-Starter**: Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while managing multiple accounts and responsibilities.
- ** Tech-Savvy**: Proficiency with logistics software, CRM systems (salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, etc.), and MS Office Suite.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience in national account management, business development or sales.
- Knowledge of various transportation modes (FTL, LTL, intermodal, etc.).
- Strong negotiation skills and a results-driven approach.
