Sturgeon Public Schools is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Educational Assistant 2 for Sturgeon Composite High School, working with students in K&E.

One of Alberta's largest rural high schools, Sturgeon Composite High School, is located just minutes north of Edmonton and St. Albert. The school serves approximately 950 students in Grades 10-12 and offers a wide range of programming, including academics, arts, Career and Technology Studies, Knowledge & Employability (K&E), and Special Education. With a strong sense of community and a welcoming environment, Sturgeon Composite prepares students for future success through meaningful programs, engaging activities, and dedicated staff collaboration.

This assignment may be adjusted as needed to support school operations.

**What You'll Be Doing**

- Provide support to students under the direction of the classroom teacher
- Assist students with academic, social, and behavioural learning needs
- Use technology confidently to support instruction and student learning
- Encourage student engagement and motivation through positive interactions
- Support classroom routines, structure, and organization Foster a safe, inclusive, and caring environment for all students

**What You Bring**

- Educational Assistant or Teacher's Aide Diploma/Certificate
- CPR, First Aid, and TCIS (assets)
- Experience supporting high school students, particularly those with behavioural needs
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
- Strong technology and computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and a team-oriented approach
- Equivalent combinations of education, skills, and experience may be considered Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
