**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Processes payroll system transactions, and provides administrative support to HR, Employees, Management team with high quality of information and service.
- Maintain good communication and collaborate with different sectors of the different companies, to ensure the successful processing of information.
- Manages RRSP enrolments
- Processes ROEs
- Issues employment verification letters
- Track employee sick days and holidays

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years of direct payroll and benefits experience within heavy Civil Construction industry
- Experienced in Trimble, Payroll Time Entry (PTE), Site Max
- A strong sense of integrity, professionalism, and a results-oriented attitude to continually improve processes and systems, enhance efficiency, and contribute to overall organizational success.
- Must plan the work to meet strict deadlines for payroll and benefit processing, always being aware of the impact to the workflow of team members.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ready to take on new challenges and learn new knowledge and skills.
- Detail oriented and able to identify errors.
- Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
- Strong knowledge of government legislation and employment standards as they relate to payroll and accounting.
- A Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Designation from the Canadian Payroll Association would be considered an asset.
- HR certification would be considered an asset
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel
- Excellent communication skills in English - verbal / written.
- Self-motivated and ability to work with minimum supervision under pressure with strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical capabilities.
- Maintain sensitive and confidential information
