**This is where you come in**

As a Payroll and Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating, preparing and processing payroll and administering various benefits programs in accordance with established company practices and procedures, for both US and Canada.

**Things you'll be working on**

Run biweekly payroll and other off cycle payments; provide up-to-date information on all employees, including (but not limited to) sick leaves, leaves of absence, overtime hours, work schedules, RoE's

Run checks on the payslip production on a bi-weekly basis

Complete T4s/W2s and issue ROEs

Coordinate and administer the annual salaries review and variable pay compensation documents

Ensure documents are signed and stored in individual employee folders

Responsible for the smooth running of benefits and retirement funds, liaising with third party providers as required (this includes 401K (US) and RRSP (CA)

Respond to benefits, compensation, pension enquiries, identify trends and develop recommendations to address service, claims, policy or process issues

Manage all annual employee insurance renewal processes

Collect, analyze and report on pay, benefits and employee programs data and conduct market research to prepare reports/charts/graphs to clearly outline analysis findings

Responsible for ensuring internal documentation relating to benefits is kept up to date and compliant at all times

Create global benefits communications that educate employees about benefit plans, programs and changes

Ensure accuracy of Employee Employment Agreement / Full time contractor agreement, SOWs, etc...

Review and respond to legislative changes that have an impact on company total compensation, benefits and employee program policies and practices, staying ahead of trends, issues, and changes in legislation, industry developments, government policy and regulations

Maintain accurate salary benchmarking information

Organize and maintain personnel records, enter new data, and update previous employee data in internal HR databases

Employee life cycle: onboarding; off boarding and everything in-between

Conduct New Hire Orientation

University degree or College diploma preferred

3-5 years of high-volume and complex Payroll experience

Minimum 2 years of Benefits administration experience

Experience with US Payroll

Knowledge of payroll-related tax legislation and employment standards (payroll source deductions, statutory holidays, overtime etc.)

Strong working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel, including V-lookups and PIVOT tables and formulas

Excellent organizational skills with capability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Strong problem solving and analytical skills; meticulous attention to detail

Demonstrated professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive information

Strong team player and customer service orientation,

Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are a major asset
