The Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating with our production teams to ensure client orders are processed and delivered on time.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Creating production schedules that are both efficient and effective, while ensuring that each department within the company is working according to schedule.
- Communicating with department leads to ensure that the production schedule is being followed accurately and productively, and making adjustments as needed.
- Analyzing data and reports to determine trends and patterns in production, identify bottlenecks or workflow issues and find solutions to improve the production process.
- Budgeting and forecasting production requirements, taking into account factors such as product demand, labour costs, materials, and equipment necessary to meet production targets.
- Coordinating with the purchasing department to ensure raw materials and components are ordered and delivered on time, ensuring that production schedules can be met.
- Preparing and distributing production reports to all relevant stakeholders.
- Efficiently managing the production schedule and ensuring that each department follows it accurately, minimizing downtime and maximizing production output.

**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**
- Proven work experience as a production scheduler (or equivalent) within a manufacturing or production environment. Packaging industry experience is a plus.
- Knowledgeable in lean manufacturing practices and concepts.
- Post Secondary Education is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with department leads and other stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
