**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring presentation meets restaurant quality.
- Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Handle food products safely and efficiently during preparation and storage.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Package baked goods for sale or special orders as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and report shortages to management.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in pastry preparation or baking.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in baking.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Creative skills for cake decorating and presentation of desserts.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
