**Supervisor, Food / Beverage**

On behalf of the management team, welcome to the Island Yacht Club

IYC provides the highest level of service to our members while enhancing their stay on the island. Providing full in-house dining in our award-winning clubhouse, outdoor dining on our waterside patio, pool-side drinks and food, and takeout.

We have a position available for individuals with an excellent work ethic, enthusiastic personality, and a strong sense of what giving excellent customer service entails.

**SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES**

Lead by example and provide ongoing training, support and inspiration to your team

Guarantee customer satisfaction through promoting excellent service, ensuring all the guests are enjoying their time
- Ensure pre-opening duties are completed and staff are assigned sections
- Manage the floor while on shift - all aspects of food running, bussing, expo, and table maintenance
- Competent with performing POS (Point of Sales) updates and problem-solving (Knowledge of Volante POS System is an asset)
- Ensure closing duties are completed in an accurate manner
- Accurately and efficiently administer scheduling and attendance records
- Assist with Food & Beverage creative menu changes & feedback
- Implementing a proactive approach toward day-to-day activities and shifting demands
- Work closely with management on daily operations and other tasks as need be
- Perform other duties as required

**SUPERVISOR QUALIFICATION**
- Supervisory or management experience in a high-volume restaurant is an asset
- Competent with POS (Point of Sales) (Volante POS System an asset)
- Wine education is also an asset
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Solid understanding and practical knowledge of restaurant business principles and service etiquette
- Proven to perform well under pressure; manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- An ongoing awareness and responsiveness to client satisfaction
- Strong organizational skills

**SCHEDULE**:

- Position requires a flexible work schedule including some evenings, weekends, and holidays with a workweek of _forty (40) hours plus_ per week
- Weekends required
- Holidays required
- Work Week Schedule - To be discussed during the interview

**OTHERS**:

- Complimentary meals are provided during work shifts
- Our free shuttles provide a 10-minute boat ride from Queens Quay & Dan Leckie Way
