**About us**: Tacofino began as a food truck in the back of a surf shop in beautiful Tofino, British Columbia. We balanced surfing with creating world-inspired food from the best possible ingredients and wrapping them in delicious fresh tortillas. We have since grown into 10 restaurants and 3 food trucks across BC.

**About you**: We are growing and have an opportunity for a great entry-level leader to join our team as Kitchen Supervisor. In this position, you will be a role model for the Line and provide support where necessary, especially when it comes to providing coaching opportunities to junior staff.
**Responsibilities**:
- Providing support to Line Cooks through coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback
- Ensure all food preparation and storage procedures are followed as outlined by Vancouver Coastal Health, to include FIFO and appropriate labeling
- Food preparation: cutting, portioning, frying, baking, following recipes, putting away orders, and cleaning of kitchen tools and facility as required
- Playing a role in ensuring a respectful workplace environment by professional communication with all team members and customers
- Other duties as required
**Qualifications**:
- 6+ months in a leadership role
- 1+ year experience in a fast-paced & professional kitchen environment
- A strong passion for food
- A positive and professional attitude
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic knife skills
- Foodsafe Level 1 an asset
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, according to the needs of the business
- The desire for growth and opportunity
