**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**:
The Inventory Control Specialist at CPKC will enhance efficiencies in the NSC Carload & Intermodal Operations. This role focuses on analyzing metrics to elevate productivity and reduce costs, alongside solving systemic operational challenges.

**POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Formulate and manage KPIs and scorecards for performance metrics.
- Utilize performance indicators to prevent future issues.
- Offer technical guidance to NSC Carload & Intermodal teams.
- Act as a primary point of contact for operational issues.
- Innovate and standardize processes to meet department goals.
- Analyze requirements and test new technology solutions.
- Advocate for business process improvements.
- Provide support across various NSC operations roles as needed.

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:

- University degree or equivalent experience in transportation preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Capable of handling a fast-paced environment and multiple tasks.
- Availability for a flexible work schedule, including potential 24/7 coverage.
