Inventory Specialist

Winpak is seeking an Inventory Specialist based in Winnipeg, Manitoba to support our Maintenance Department.
As part of the Maintenance Team, the Inventory Specialist plays a key part in supporting daily maintenance operations by managing essential documentation, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and ensuring accurate inventory control. The Inventory Specialist will serve as a central point of communication between maintenance, purchasing, accounts payable, and external vendors, while overseeing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and workflow reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Keep maintenance parts organized and accurate through regular inventory checks.
- Receive, label, and stock parts while updating the CMMS and processing invoices.
- Identify inventory discrepancies and prepare actionable reports.
- Manage and optimize the CMMS for smooth maintenance operations.
- Track and report maintenance KPIs to drive improvements.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment uptime.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready maintenance records.
- Act as the go-to liaison between maintenance, purchasing, vendors, and other teams.
- Support audits, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with administrative tasks, onboarding, safety documentation, and team collaboration.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum two-year college diploma in technical, business administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance administration, inventory control, or CMMS coordination (MicroMain, Infor M3, or similar systems).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- 2+ years of experience managing work orders, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and purchasing processes.
- 2+ years of experience performing tasks that demand high accuracy in written and documented work.
- 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced role requiring strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Demonstrated experience effectively collaborating with maintenance, production, purchasing, and contractors.
Additional Information:
- This position is 100% onsite located 100 Saulteaux Crescent, Manitoba
- There is limited bus access to this location.
