**12 Month Contract**

Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Services, the AMPS & Appeal Committee Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination and administration of the Town’s Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) and dispute hearing processes. This position prepares and oversees the administration of AMPS tickets, ticket disputes, appeals/tribunals, and adjudication screening and hearing reviews.

Job Requirements
- Post-secondary Diploma in Municipal Administration, Municipal Law, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training and progressive experience.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in municipal law or municipal law enforcement in the Province of Ontario; knowledge of the Town’s regulatory by-laws. Experience in adjudication and mediation.
- Thorough knowledge and ability to interpret applicable government regulatory bylaws (such as parking, sign and licensing bylaws), provincial court proceedings, municipal and provincial legislation such as Provincial Offences Act, Provincial Animal Services Welfare Act (PAWS), Dog Owners Liability Act, Municipal Act, Planning Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, public relations, and problem/complaint resolution skills; Ability to deal courteously and effectively with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining composure regardless of the demands of the environment. Demonstrated high ethical standards and integrity.
- Demonstrated oral, written and attention to detail and accuracy are required. Excellent listening skills and ability to analyze complex information. Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to work under pressure to ensure timely decisions and deadlines are met.
- Excellent, investigative, report-writing, problem-solving, as well as knowledge of basic principles of law.
- Demonstrated intermediate level of expertise of Microsoft Office, experience with AIMS, or related software is considered an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours that may include some evenings or weekends as required.
- Ontario Class “G” valid Driver’s license in good standing with access to a reliable vehicle to use on corporate business as required.
- Due to the responsibilities of this position, a Police Record Check satisfactory to the Town is required.
