Site Programs Manager

**Overview**
Sechelt Community Schools (SCS) is seeking a compassionate, professional, and dynamic **Programs Manager** to lead our KIDZ CLUB and Sechelt Youth Centre (SYC) programs. This is a leadership position requiring a balance of administrative expertise and hands-on engagement with children and youth.
As the SEYC Programs Manager, you will oversee daily program operations, provide direct on-site supervision, ensure licensing compliance, and support staff in creating a safe and enriching environment for participants.
**Duties**
- Assist the Community Schools Coordinator in the hiring, training, and scheduling of staff.
- Provide direct supervision of children and youth during after-school programs, Pro-D days, and school breaks (Winter, Spring, and Summer).
- Maintain up-to-date records for children, staff, facility, and safety compliance.
- Liaise with Licensing Officer and ensure adherence to Licensing Regulations including performance of daily, monthly, and annual safety checklists for facilities and programs.
- Ensure program policies and procedures are followed and provide feedback for updates as needed.
- Communicate with parents,families and community partners regarding program activities, policies and procedures, and children's well-being.
- Develop and implement Care Plans for children with additional needs.
- Manage budgeting, finance procedures, and purchases for program sites.
- Program plan, promote, and report on childcare and Youth Centre activities.
**Experience**
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- At least two years experience working with school age children and adolescents in a direct supervisory capacity.
- Knowledge of licensing requirements and compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage budgets and adhere to financial procedures.
- Completed course work / education in childcare relating to child and youth development, guidance, health and safety, or nutrition is required.
- Education or training related to adolescents preferred.
- Program planning and recreation experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Office Suite is required.

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
