Reporting to the Operations Manager - Events & Catering, the Closing Event Supervisor will be responsible for the closing logistics with clients and event staff for all events including corporate functions, social parties, and weddings. The individual will be in constant communication with the Operations Manager/Floor Manager during events and would become the direct point of contact for the client on the evening of the event following the departure of the Operations Manager/Floor Manager, providing clients and relevant parties with exceptional service and detailed care for the remainder of the event.

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish and maintain rapport with guests during event, exceeding their expectations and encouraging referral business
- Oversee and lend support/guidance to service team
- Oversee all closing event duties ensuring venue is left clean and ready for the following days service
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and staff
- Identify and resolve issues to minimize complications during events
- Follow timelines and work within time constraints to ensure proper service
- Effectively manage time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently
- May need to attend briefing sessions for upcoming events with Operations Manager - Events & Catering and Executive Chef.
- Other duties & functions as assigned by the Operations Manager - Events & Catering

Qualifications:

- Minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory role
- Minimum of two years’ experience in events
- Customer focused: a friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine interest in providing above and beyond guest experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in stressful situations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask & prioritize job duties
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Certifications:

- Smart Server

Must be legally permitted to work in Canada

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour
