**Summary of Duties**: Reporting to Manager of Revenue, the Parking Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily parking and enforcement operations within all city owned facilities ensuring quality service delivery of specific programs and activities to ensure public safety and meet operational effectiveness and corporate service standards. **Duties and Responsibilities**: - (These set out the principal functions of the position and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements)._ - Supervise the daily operations of Parking Services including the planning, coordination, execution, and administration of staff and parking related functions. - Provide oversight of the Parking Enforcement Officers to ensure work is carried out in accordance with City and departmental standards and legislated requirements including Administrative Monetary Penalties, Highway Traffic Act, and City specific by-laws. - Responsible for resolving unusual or escalated public complaints or inquiries related to parking violations and authorizing adjustments in accordance with City policy. - Develop division budgets for approval, maintain actual expenditures accordingly and provide explanation for variances in parking accounts. - Review and recommend changes to the Rates and Fees schedule based on market rates, comparator municipalities and in accordance with the strategic priorities of Council. - Establish and maintain procedures for parking violations, enforcement, and parking meter coin collections. - Prepare reports for presentation to various committees and City Council. - Perform research with a commitment to continuous improvement and implement strategies to achieve operational effectiveness and efficiencies. - Oversees the tracking, monitoring, and reconciling of revenue generate from parking meters, pay station, and parking permits. - Initiate, manage and/or participate in major projects related to various parking related functions including but not limited to computer systems and procedures, license plate recognition, beach parking, enforcements services, and developing options and recommendations for the structure and function of Parking Services that align with the City’s strategic plan. - Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders in the planning and execution of various ad hoc and long-term parking needs i.e. Downtown Business, Meridian Centre, Performing Arts Centre, special interest groups, road closures, S’no parking, etc. - Performing all other job-related tasks or special projects as directed. **Position Requirements**: - Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Law and Security or related field. - Five (5) years progressive experience in parking and revenue related field, preferably in a municipal setting. - Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Highway Act and working knowledge of Ticket Tracer, Iparq, Authorized Requester Information Services (ARIAdministrative Penalty Policy, Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards, various By-laws, fire route maps and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) mapping. - Ability to self-educate and interpret regulations, by-laws,policies, procedures, systems and ensure comprehension and compliance of the division. - Experience with cash management, financial reporting, scheduling, and supervision, performance management, and training. - Ability to coach, support, and assist staff with all aspects of customer service and daily parking operations. - Strong negotiation, mitigation, and conflict resolution skills to manage customer and policy issues. - Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to deal with confrontational situations. - Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills required to interpret and support complex policy and procedure. - Strong ability to resolve account problems, system issues, and customer issues. - Able to meet deadlines, manage time and work in a busy environment where multi - tasking is the norm. - Valid Ontario Driver's licence, Class "G", with a clean driving record. - Demonstrated commitment to enhancing a safety culture. - Proven completion of the Ministry of Labour Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness training. **Salary Range**: Minimum $72,499 annually; Maximum $90,624 annually **Expected Work Location**:City Hall (eligible for remote work) **Hours of Work**:Currently Monday to Friday 8:30AM - 4:30PM Applications received any other way will not be accepted.
