Technical Support Administrator

**JOB OVERVIEW**
- **Essential Functions**:_
- Support end users with their mobile and desktop phone systems
- Manage internet access for each location and liaise with service provider support
- Acquisition and installation of software related to company business requirements
- Administration of Microsoft 365 (Azure) environment, setting up accounts, managing Multi Factor Authentication and performing regular security reviews
- A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Domain administration including;
- Active Directory maintenance.
- Printer Deployment and management.
- DHCP and DNS administration and monitoring.
- Application and Windows OS Updates.
- Knowledge of Virtualisation and Cloud technologies including VMware, Proxmox, AWS
- Asset Inventory management for all corporate IT hardware and devices
- Acquisition and support of printers and other network peripherals
- LAN network management, monitoring, and redundancy provision
- Environmental management for servers, airflow, Power/UPS systems, backup generators
- Project planning and implementation
- After hours support for multiple sites
- Any other relevant duties to keep the IT infrastructure running smoothly 24/7
- **Software/Application Experience desired**:_
- Atlassian JIRA Service Management
- VMware vSphere and Workspace One
- Microsoft:
- Microsoft 365 (Azure) environment
- Windows OS (10 & 11)
- Office Suite, including Teams and SharePoint
- VOIP Phone systems, including Bell Total Connect and TELUS/GoCo
- **Transitional Functions**:_
- An ability to learn new technologies quickly
- An understanding of Cyber Security and the need to define and set expectations to protect users from such threats
- **Minimum Qualification Requirements**:_
- Post secondary/university **degree** in Information Technology/Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of customer facing experience in an IT infrastructure or systems admin role with local and remote troubleshooting and desktop support
- **Desired Competencies**:_
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written, with an emphasis on strong customer service and relationship building
- Ability to multi-task and execute fast-paced solutions in a quick and accurate manner.
- Handles confidential information with utmost discretion
- Highly organized, with an ability to keep track with excellent record keeping abilities
- Able to prioritize volumes of work load in a deadline-driven work environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Able to exercise good judgment and be a professional and good team player
- Ability to keep and provide reports to senior management on demand
