Cocktail Bartender And/or Farmer's Market Help

We are looking to fill one consistent part time cocktail bartender role for shifts on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays, as well as a couple of ongoing, “on call” positions to assist us with different Farmer’s Markets around town, and some of the events we host in our distillery’s lounge.

- Cocktail Bartender
- We are looking for a passionate and innovative cocktail bartender to join our little business family. Previous cocktail experience is necessary, as well as a keen interest in the mixology aspect.

We produce hand crafted local spirits in our distillery and then use those spirits to produce unique and signature cocktails to be served in our fully licensed lounge; we refer to it as a “Grain to Glass Experience”.

Our aim is to provide an exceptional experience for our guests through our knowledge and passion for the art. The team here works in unison to achieve these goals, and no one is above any given task.

In the role of bartender, you will be responsible for all aspects of service:

- Building cocktails to spec with efficiency, attention to detail, and maintaining consistency of build and presentation.
- Prep work. (making syrups, infusions, garnishes, etc.)
- Interacting with guests in a positive, inclusive, and inviting manner at all times.
- All opening and/or closing duties.
- Greeting and seating guests.
- Taking orders.
- Serving.
- Bill settlement.
- Participating in signature drink creation and concepting (R&D).
- Maintaining a clean and organised space. (Washing, polishing, and replacing glassware. Taking out garbage/compost/recycling. Sweeping. Mopping. Etc, etc.)
- And more
- Farmer’s Markets & Event Backup Staff
- For these roles we are looking for 1 to 3 people who are looking to pick up some extra work here and there. These shifts, in either category, would generally be between 3 and 6 hours each.

Markets:
We involved in several Farmer’s Markets around town and need responsible and reliable individuals to help work them for us.

This would require:

- Picking up all equipment and supplies from the distillery and transporting them to the site.
- Set up of the tent, table(s), all display items in a visually appealing manner, and stock for sale.
- Knowledge of our product and brand. (This will be provided)
- Willingness and skill in actively engaging with the patrons and educating them on our products and brand.
- Promoting and selling our products throughout the event.
- Breaking down all materials and transporting them back to the distillery.
- Settling a cash out for that event and reporting it according to procedure.

*Valid driver’s license with a clean record will be required.

Event back up staff:
This would be a strictly “On Call” position. We regularly book private events in our distillery’s lounge and dependent on the size of the party, as well as our current staff’s availability, we occasionally need some “pinch hitters”.

This would be a strictly a serving and bussing role. No bartending would be required; however, an asset if you are capable of it. These would be sporadic to begin with; however, should increase in frequency as we build out our marketing program and promote them more in future.

FINAL NOTE:
There also has the potential for this to all be a single role, for the right, interested and qualified person.
