Astoria Pub, located in the heart of **East Hastings, Vancouver**, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic **Bartender** to join our team. If you’re passionate about hospitality, thrive in a fast-paced pub environment, and love creating great guest experiences, this could be the perfect role for you.

**Position Overview**

As a **Bartender at Astoria Pub**, you’ll be responsible for delivering outstanding service to our guests while crafting quality cocktails, pouring pints, and ensuring the bar runs smoothly. You’ll engage with guests, recommend drinks, and help create a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere in one of Vancouver’s busiest pub settings.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide full-service **bartending** including cocktails, beer, and wine service
- Deliver friendly and professional guest interactions, answering questions and making drink recommendations
- Prepare beverages according to recipes while maintaining consistent quality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked bar area (including inventory checks)
- Collaborate with servers and team members to ensure seamless service
- Assist with other duties as required in a **fast-paced hospitality environment**

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Minimum 19 years of age (legal requirement in BC)
- **Serving It Right** and **Food Safe Level 1** certifications (mandatory)
- Flexible availability: evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of **cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine**:

- Previous **bartending or hospitality experience** in a pub, bar, or restaurant setting
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional and tidy appearance
- Bartending certification an asset, but not required
- Valid Canadian work authorization (work permits must be valid until at least January 2027)
