**About the Role**

PowerCo Canada is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Coordinator to support the payroll function during the ramp-up of our North American operations. Reporting to the Manager, HRBP, Employee Relations, & Global Assignments, this role will assist the Payroll lead with day-to-day payroll operations, data entry, and employee support. The Payroll Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

This is a flex hybrid work structure, where employees can work both remotely and on-site at our St. Thomas location.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with the preparation and processing of bi-weekly and monthly payrolls using Dayforce.
- Enter and maintain employee data including new hires, terminations, and changes in payroll systems.
- Support the collection and verification of time and attendance data from Kronos.
- Perform basic calculations for overtime, shift premiums, and retroactive payments.
- Generate and distribute standard payroll reports and summaries.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Assist with the preparation of Records of Employment (ROEs) and year-end documentation (T4s, T4As).
- Coordinate with HR and Benefits teams to ensure accurate payroll deductions and benefit enrollments.
- Maintain payroll files and documentation in accordance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Support payroll audits and compliance checks as directed.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and system testing as required.

**What you bring to the Team**
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field.
- PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certification in progress or completed is an asset.
- 1-3 years of experience in payroll or a related administrative role.
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce and Kronos is preferred.
- Familiarity with Canadian payroll legislation and employment standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Experience with coordination of global teams is a strong plus
- High degree of intercultural awareness and sensitivity
- A background in manufacturing, automotive or startups is a plus
