**Position Overview**

WCC is seeking a Business Development Manager to identify, secure, and grow practicum partnerships for our programs. The role focuses on finding new practicum sites, primarily in healthcare programs, and supporting other programs in different fields. This role also involves enhancing existing partnerships.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Research, identify, and pursue potential practicum site partners across healthcare, education, hospitality, and other industries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, professional organizations, and stakeholders.
- Present WCC’s practicum needs and value proposition to prospective partners.
- Negotiate preliminary terms such as student capacity, placement requirements, and timelines.
- Transition secured sites to Program Managers for formal agreements and coordination.
- Track outreach, progress, and outcomes for prospective and confirmed practicum sites.
- Achieve site acquisition targets to expand student practicum opportunities.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Education, Health Sciences, or related field); master's degree preferred.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in business development, community outreach, or partnership building (experience in healthcare or education sectors is an asset).
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to meet targets and manage pipelines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of BC’s healthcare, education, or hospitality industries is an advantage.

**Job Type**: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Hourly Salary Range: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, with eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
