**Job Summary**

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator under the direction of the Manager, Procurement & Logistics will primarily be responsible for organizing, scheduling and maintaining the shipping and receiving of all Toronto Humane Society products and supplies, as well as building and maintaining strong logistics systems for continued growth and development of e-commerce programs for the Toronto Humane Society.

**Main Duties/Responsibilities**
- Check all documentation for specific shipping instructions
- Prepare identification labels, bill of lading, shipping labels and product packaging
- Answer shipping department questions from operations
- Organization planning of warehouse
- Ensure materials are stored in the correct location
- Work with and maintain Inventory Management system to ensure accuracy
- Coordinate the logístical of all product shipping needs
- Facilitate communication from department managers, business unit leaders, and project managers, and demonstrate cooperation among other staff members in order to ensure efficiency of care and support for product delivery and stakeholder relationships
- Receive, photocopy and organize documents, invoices, receipts and vital records for distribution, mailing, binding, and filing, also maintain all files in accordance with THS policy and procedures
- Be aware of and work within the regulations of all Toronto Humane Society policies and protocols
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the OHSA and its regulations including understanding and adhering to the requirements of the Health and Safety Manual and any other rules and regulations established by THS
- Other Duties as required in the day to day operation of the Society

**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Packing/shipping experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of general office procedures involving procurement, travel, and budget management
- Three years of experience in an administrative role
- Forklift Certified or ability to become certified
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
- Organized with meticulous records maintenance skills
- Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to maintain filing systems, databases, and basic diary/minutes management
- Detailed Oriented

**Work Conditions**
- Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Attendance and participation in training
- Operation of desktop computer and peripherals
- Extended periods of sitting
- Interaction with employees, management, and the public at large
- Working in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions
- Occasional overtime
- Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, odors, noise extremes, hazardous materials, bright/dim lights, toxic agents, animal attacks, animal bites, disease, pathogenic substances, or rude/irate customers

**Salary**: $38,000.00-$43,000.00 per year
