**OVERVIEW**

**CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary degree in science, business, engineering, or instrumentation
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience required
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and develop rapport with clients and stakeholders, excellent communication and technical reporting skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills and networking ability with a variety of project stakeholders (field personnel, clients, technical personnel, and management)
- In-depth knowledge of provincial (AB, BC, SK) and federal greenhouse gas emissions regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Self-motivated, pro-active, self-starter, with creative and critical thinking capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage, multiple projects and assignments with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results
- Strength in developing, managing, and adhering to client project budgets
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
- An unwavering commitment to our value of health and safety

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for managing Emissions Management projects, including:

- Project initiation,
- Coordination of internal project staff,
- Development of project workplans and schedules,
- Monitoring of data collection,
- QA/QC of project data, and
- Reporting of emissions data and final project deliverables to clients
- Support the Field Operations Lead in the development of field schedules and management of field personnel in order to meet project objectives
- Develop and manage project-specific budgets in alignment with each project’s unique scope and strategy, and develop of project proposals and cost estimates for new clients
- Facilitate regular communication of project status and outstanding issues to relevant internal staff, including project coordinators, other project managers, and client managers
- Plan, organize, schedule and coordinate all assigned project activities, including mobilization, demobilization, manpower requirements, scheduling of equipment, materials and facilities to ensure work is executed efficiently and effectively
- Mentor and support junior and intermediate technical and field staff
- Manage and foster key relationships with client contacts
- Implement and promote Vertex’s and our client’s safety programs
- Provide regular updates to management as it relates to project performance activities, schedules and other business conditions/issues
- Ensure all activities for an assigned project are completed within a time frame consistent with Vertex policies and procedures.
- Identify circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety equipment; ensure field personnel are properly equipped at all times.
- Critically assess processes and provide recommendations as part of Vertex’s continuous improvement programs
- Maintain awareness of products and services available to customers
- Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern
- Perform all duties as assigned and adhere to Vertex’s Core Values

**LOCATION**
- This position will be based out of Calgary or Sherwood Park, Alberta.
