Eden Gardens encompasses the Eden Philosophy of Care, which extends to staff as well and holds a strong focus on staff safety, health, and wellness. The Scheduling & Payroll Administrator reports to the Payroll Manager and is a partner in the Administration Team. This critical role is very instrumental in keeping staffing at or above quota levels to support optimal care provisions for our elders.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring staffing quotas are met in the building every day, for 250+ employees, in accordance with Licensing and Policy
- Determining shift vacancies, sending out shifts for bid, and awarding shifts based upon seniority levels
- Learning shift rotations; ending and assigning rotations
- Investigating employee inquiries as it relates to their schedules and pay, preparing information documents for payroll adjustments
- Becoming very familiar with the Union Collective Agreement articles as they pertain to staffing
- Completing any other assigned administrative functions and duties
- Preparing of full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees in a unionized environment
- Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
- Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns in a timely manner
- Processing new employees, terminations, transfers, and status changes in a tight timeline
- Completing accurate Records of Employment

**Education and Training Employment Requirements**
- Grade 12 diploma
- Experience in either Payroll or Scheduling is an asset
- Fluent in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet access
- Experience working in a Union environment is considered an asset
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check at the Federal Level to work with Vulnerable Populations
- Fully Vaccinated for Covid-19
**Important to Know**:
- This position requires the successful applicant to work every Saturday, with the possibility of an extra day each week
- Availability for vacation coverage is an asset but not required
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 7.5 - 15 per week
**Salary**: $26.83 per hour
