Raymond James Ltd. is one of Canada’s leading full-service independent investment dealers offering high-quality investment products and services to Canadians seeking customized personal solutions to their wealth management needs.

You will assist the Branch Manager / Portfolio Manager with providing comprehensive administrative service to their clients. You will be part of a dynamic full team of 2 advisors and 7 support staff working out of 2 offices, able to work collectively towards providing excellent client service. You will be working just in the Barrie office location. This is a contract full-time position with a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Specifically, you will:

- Cover the phone and respond to general inquiries, both in person and on the phone;
- Manage all client documentation (new accounts and maintenance) and ensure document deficiencies for client accounts are kept to zero;
- Enter trades, experience working with a Portfolio Manager a benefit
- Be responsible for monitoring client accounts and maintaining client files;
- Liaise with the Raymond James back office and external third parties;
- Provide service to both the advisors and clients’ day-to-day requests, and other general office duties as required;
- Prepare client reports and files for Advisor client meetings;
- Assist in planning, organizing and executing client and charitable events periodically throughout the year;
- Perform light office cleaning such as wiping down table and tidying up the common office areas, as needed after client meetings;
- In winter assist to occasionally clear walkway for clients and put down salt for safety;
- Keep entry porch swept as needed, to ensure safety;
- Prior to client meetings walk through office area with fresh view and ensure office is clean and up to standards;
- Be prepared to perform minor troubleshooting and software updates with office computers, fax and copier, with tech support;
- Notify IT technician, copier service team, etc. when service or support is needed for office systems or equipment that is beyond our abilities;
- Collect all mail (ingoing and outgoing) and review for meeting compliance requirements;
- Prepare banking deposit documentation for client cheques and take to the bank for deposit;
- Prepare office for Compliance visits from head office personnel;
- Liaise with head office for any office information or documents requested;

To qualify for this opportunity, you possess:

Industry licensing is mandatory for this position. If you are not already licensed, you may become CSC licensed within 6 months - complete the CSC, CPH and in-house training program. Completion of the CSC leads to increased compensation.
