**GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
Ensures compliance, accuracy, availability, and timeliness of all required shipping and receiving documents for inbound, outbound and customer pick up orders.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ensures orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through careful audit and attention to detail.
- Works with internal resources to resolve allocation and/or inventory discrepancies.
- Ensures all required security processes are consistently followed regarding the CTPAT (driver and visitor sign in).
- Answers/routes all telephone calls in a polite and timely manner; may escalate issues as appropriate.
- Assists and evaluates needs with shipping points, services, weights and freight permits, and other information needed.
- Ensures shipping stations are in working order and stocked with necessary materials; monitors the supply of packaging materials and requisition additional supplies as required.
- Notifies consignee of shipment arrival and coordinates shipment information to other offices and/or agents.
- Arranges for movement of freight to consignee/agent and maintains records and systems accordingly.
- Provides route details to maximize the efficiency of moving stock.
- Processes necessary invoices to appropriate office for payment.
- Enters data pertaining to domestic and international shipments into the company’s ERP system and into the shipping systems of commercial freight carriers accurately and timely.
- Confirms physical shipment of goods and facilitates tracking of packages.
- Identifies and corrects errors on packing lists and invoices.
- Ensures all outbound freight complies with warehouse/site operations.
- Prepares accurate bills of lading for outbound freight using ERP system.
- Ensures that drivers depart with appropriate paperwork.
- Ensures the accuracy of all shipping documents by strict adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Gathers, maintains, and enters data and records relative to shipping and receiving activities into the appropriate systems.
- Completes reports and metrics as requested.
- Participates in cross-training opportunities as required.
- Provides general support and project administration as required to ensure effective site operations.
**EDUCATION**:
- High school diploma or equivalent
**EXPERIENCE**:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience is a logistics capacity or equivalent.
**OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Strong organization and attention to detail skills
- Demonstrates pride in work and ensures accuracy.
- Proven strength in customer service to meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Flexible and adaptable
- Willingness to provide support; demonstrates a “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
**BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION**:
- The annual salary for applicants in this position generally ranges between $52,800 - $65,000 plus a 7% bonus potential. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
