**The Role**
As the Accounts Payable Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing FSS’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. You will perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. Your position contributes to the successful financial growth of our company by providing professional support to Food Service Solutions Inc.’s operations nationwide. This role reports to the Accounting Manager.
**What you will do**:
- Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
- Keep track of payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
- Receive, record, and process invoices for payments, including routine recalculating of price extensions, due dates, discounts, account codes and payment addresses
- Reconcile processed transactions by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Obtaining proper information and data regarding invoice payments
- Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls
- To carry out any other tasks which may be reasonably expected for the promotion and support of our business
- Any other such duties as may be determined by your reporting Manager
**Your skills, experience, and qualifications**:
- Diploma in Accounting, Business, or relevant discipline is required
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong data entry abilities
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Observant, accurate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
**Benefits**:
- Bonus - this role is eligible for a bonus of up to 10% of the base salary if all company and personal metrics are achieved.
