Join our team as our newest **Junior** **Cost Estimator** This position is on our **DAY** **SHIFT** from 8am - 4:30pm.

**Your daily responsibilities will include**:

- Required to quote new business and engineering change requests from customers, develop and then communicate updated costs and lead times to the appropriate account manager.
- Develop and improve estimation methods and procedures related to quotes as per the APQP process including feasibility, timing, tooling, primary/secondary equipment, prototypes and mass production parts.
- Ensures incoming quotes are logged and replied within customer expectations.
- The position will involve the quotation of weld fixtures, stamping tooling, check fixtures, production parts and added value assemblies.
- Ability to quote and provide cost justification for capital equipment.
- Able to work at various locations within and outside Guelph Manufacturing.
- Must have valid passport and able to travel.
- Required to work extra hours to meet customer needs.
- Work well independently and/or in a team environment.
- Like working in a fast paced environment.

**What are we looking for?**
- Must have at least 5 years of experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Must have exposure using CAD
- Education: Technical training in Engineering Technology
- Engineering trade training/experience would be a definite asset
- Knowledge of ISO-TS16949 and ISO 14001
- Must have experience using Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
- Have a good background in Stampings, welding and mechanical assembly
