**Job Overview**
ECHO Disability Services is looking for a Support Services Coordinator in Whitecourt. This is a full-time permanent position with hours of work Monday to Friday daytime and occasional weekend on-call supports.

The successful applicant should have experience working with individuals with cognitive disabilities and demonstrate strong leadership skills. They should possess a Health Care Aid Certificate or other health credential. Experience with programming would be an asset.

***:

- Coordinate and develop programming of Life Skills and recreational activities
- Provide Direct Supports to assigned individuals with addictions/mental health concerns
- Collaborate with staff assigned to individuals with higher medical/mental health needs (as determined by Team Lead)

**GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Programming**
- Long term planning of Program activities
- Engage with Day program staff and other community groups to facilitate activities
- Engage with Sr. Leadership for programming requirements, budgeting, supplies, etc.
- Provide calendar/invitation to individuals/families to participate

**Individual health management**
- Orient and monitor staff for medication administration to assigned individuals as required
- Coordinate all day program individuals’ out of town health appointment scheduling, provide follow
- through and follow up in conjunction with front line staff
- Interface with medical professionals, AISH and other community resources as required

**Direct supports**
- Provide direct supports as per Job Description
- Provide direction to staff regarding protocols/processes for assigned individuals as part of Direct Support programming
- Advise Team Lead regarding scheduling and programming for individuals where changes occur
- Other duties as assigned

**PRE-EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS**

Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level C, clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver's Abstract, Class 5 Driver's License, reliable vehicle and must be willing to transport individuals in your own vehicle.
