The Alberta Wellness Center for Eating Disorders is a multidisciplinary practice that specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and eating related struggles, across the lifespan.

Our center integrates best practice guidelines, evidence-based treatments, and promising innovative approaches to provide our clients hope for a meaningful and long-lasting recovery.

Our center embodies a collaborative and compassionate approach to eating disorders treatment, focused on healing from within. We approach treatment from a holistic lens, which addresses not only physical healing but also psychological, emotional, relational, and spiritual. The healing power of families is an integral part of our treatment model and we strive to ensure that all members are supported through the recovery journey.

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, businesses, and government agencies.
- Plan and coordinate community events, workshops, and information sessions.
- Create and deliver custom-designed presentations tailored to various audiences.
- Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and public events.
- Conduct outreach through social media, newsletters, flyers, and other communication channels.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers as needed for community engagement efforts.
- Ensure outreach activities align with the organization’s mission, values, and equity goals.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in community outreach, advocacy, or nonprofit work.
- Strong public speaking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience designing and delivering engaging presentations to diverse audiences.
- Ability to engage with diverse populations and foster inclusive community relationships.
- Event planning and project management experience preferred.
- Proficiency in social media and digital outreach strategies.

**Preferred Skills & Attributes**:

- Passion for social impact and community engagement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Canva, or other presentation software.

**Work Environment**:

- Hybrid or in-person work, depending on community needs.
- Occasional evening and weekend work for events and meetings.

**Compensation & Work Schedule**:

- Pay: $40 per hour.
- Hours: 15 hours per month, with opportunity to increase based on need.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 5 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
