**_Catholic Social Services is currently seeking a_**_ 40 hours_**_ per week, Community Outreach Worker in EDMONTON to join our team. Providing excellent client-centered care, you are confident, thoughtful, and motivated to achieve success when supporting others in your community_**

**_This position has a weekly schedule of: Sunday _**_12:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday and Tuesday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday and _**_Thursday _**_12:00 PM - 8:00 PM_**

**Program Overview**:
**LaSalle program** is a second-stage shelter for women with children who have experienced family violence. This program provides a safe place to women and children to help break the cycle of violence. During this time clients receive support and counselling as they access childcare, employment, outreach services, educational and training opportunities.

**Job Summary**:
As the Community Outreach Worker you will be providing support to women and children who are looking to transition back into community life. This includes assisting women with securing housing in the community, finding meaningful employment, or returning to school”

**Education & Qualifications**:

- A Degree/Diploma in the human services or equivalent
- A minimum of two (2) years experience working with children and families.
- Experience supporting women and children who have experienced domestic violence, addiction, homelessness and who reside in a transitional housing program is an asset.
- An extensive knowledge of applicable community resources and computer knowledge are also considered assets for this position.
- A reliable Vehicle, Valid Driver’s License, Vehicle Registration and Third Party Liability Insurance (amount of two million)
- Police Information Check including vulnerable sector search, and Intervention Record Check current within six (6) months
- Summary of driving record with no more than six (6) demerit points current within one (1) year.
