**General Summary**:
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist (HRG) to join our team. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the HRG will be onsite and manage day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance and health & safety. This role is pivotal in ensuring positive employee experience and requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can handle a variety of HR functions and provide exceptional support to our employees in a food manufacturing environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Recruitment and Onboarding**
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure smooth onboarding experience.

**2. Employee Relations**
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Address employee relations issues, provide guidance on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions and conduct workplace investigations (including Workplace Violence, Harassment & Discrimination, and Health & Safety) and report findings to HR.

**3. Performance Management**
- Support the success of the performance management system, plans and practices and consult with management on employee performance evaluations.
- Support managers in conducting performance reviews and setting employee goals.

**4. Health & Safety**
- Manage the health and safety programs, and ensure legislative compliance, employee training and foster a safe workplace culture.
- Attend JHSC meetings and distribute minutes, inspections and agendas.
- Compliance with policies on health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.

**5. HR Administration**:

- Assist with payroll processing using ADP WFN while ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. Input and maintain accurate data of employee files.
- Assist in various HR initiatives aimed at improving organizational effectiveness.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources, or related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in a HR generalist role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of HR related laws and regulations such as Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, etc.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills with a collaborative, consultative, and innovative approach to identifying opportunities and excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong, and an interactive team player.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with ADP WFN is preferred.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Member of HRPA is preferred.
- HR designation or working towards designation would be considered an asset.

Pay: $75,000.00-$78,000.00 per year

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
